Swijin is a science-based sportswear company led by women for women. 3 years of research and development, CHF 1 Million and 97 iterations with elite athletes were necessary to truly revolutionize the concept of sports bras.

The Swijin sports bras are the first and only intelligent sports bra on the market. The high-tech materials used allow the bra to literally mold around your unique body shape.

So, while other sports bras shrink with washing or lose elasticity when wearing, the Swijin bras get better - and more adapted to your body - with washing and wearing.

But, that is not all:

Since the day of its founding, Swijin has engaged the support of a Sports Sustainability expert in guiding us to make the best possible product with the least possible impact. We began with choosing our supply chain partners with care and visiting their factories directly. We spoke with their employees and observed the culture and their commitment to reduce their carbon footprints. We minimize our impact with a variety of measures: We source high-quality, longlasting products and avoid overproduction and waste. Our packaging is FSC certified and can be recycled.

In our quest to find sustainable raw materials, we tested a bio-based polyamide yarn. This yarn serendipitously opened a new gateway for our innovation because it's hydrophobic, light-weight and feels like silk on the skin. We paired this yarn with a biodegradabele elastomer. Swijin is working in lock-step with our partners to realize our amibitous goal of becoming a fully circular company. In the future, this would allow our customers to return their products to Swijin rather than throw them out. We can then win back the precious resources, such as the bio-based polyamide in virgin-quality form - making new products from them of the same high quality. While this process is still relatively new, we are working feverishly behind the scenes to realize this endeavor.

Most products we buy today, simply list the fabric composition and the "Made in" label. But this information does not really provide the supply chain transparency we deserve. For this reason, Swijin has printed a QR label (Digital Passport) into each product. By scanning this label, consumers can read the details of where our fabrics are produced and even the carbon footprint for the production of the textile in that product. Consumers don't just purchase from Swijin, but indirectly from our suppliers, which is why we want to be as transparent as possible.

To see the magic happen, the Swijin Sports Bras require activation. Sounds difficult - it is not, we promise. It's two simple steps:
Make It Yours:

Wash: Wash before wearing (max 30°C), then let it air dry. This activates the fabric to
mold to your shape. (For American machines: warm wash, max 86°F. No dryer.)
Workout: It may feel snug at first—don’t worry! Your body heat helps the fabric adapt as
you move, becoming more comfortable and supportive.

The Freeli Bra was developed in close collaboration with female endurance athletes. These women asked us to please make sure that in the future they will be able to carry their gels, keys,.. comfortably for their longruns/drives or at competitions. We listened closely and lived up to our promise to be the sportswear brand for women by women.

Therefore, the Freeli Bra is designed to have a well-sized pouch/pocket in the front.

Swijin aims to use simple material blends in order to allow for recycling in the future. You find detailed information on the materials used as well as the supply chain transparency right on every product page as well as when scanning the QR Code on your product.

The majority of our products use a combination of 59% Microfibre Polyamide, 41% Elastane (LYCRA®). The Schnuggi Bras consist of 100% bio-based and bio-degradable materials: 80% Bio-Based Polyamide, 20% Biodegradable Elastane

The Freeli Sports Bra is a double-layer compression bra whereas our Schnuggi guides each breast to sit in a compressive mold. The second layer of the Schnuggi stabilizes the breast from three directions, creating a high-impact bra with no underwires or adjusters. While these bras are solutions for A - D cups, our third bra, the Schnuggi Ultra will be a combination bra. This means, the first layer will separate and compress the breasts while the outer layer provides 360 degree stabilization. This bra is in final development stages and will be going to market in 2025.

Absolutely! Our first sports bra (now the Freeli) was originally called the SwimRunner because we wanted women to be able to combine land and water sports without changing clothes. This invention required that it dries in record time. In working with athletes to design their dream bra that solves all problems, athletes asked that it dries quickly. So an added benefit of ALL Swijin products (Sports Bras and Bottoms) is that they dry in a flash and can double as swimwear. The materials used ensure that the Swijin Bras are the fastest drying sports bras on the market (scientifically proven).

So, the sports bras (also in combination with the Swijin Bottoms) are ideal to also be used as swim wear and under wetsuits/trisuits.

The Sports Bras currently available do not require adjustable straps as the innovative materials will adjust to your unique body shape - thanks to washing and your body heat.

No padding in Swijin Sports Bras! We have decided to focus and emphasize drying behavior (no more boob sweat pooling in your bra) to padding. This also allows you to swim and dry quickly, without sponges soaking up water and sweat which then sits on your skin for hours or needs to be wrung out with your hands. Although this may take some getting used to or confidence, we believe most women will come to appreciate the comfort this provides them while engaging in sports.

Due to the high quality fabric choices, they have been engineered to withstand pilling and snagging. However, we suggest that you launder your products in a wash bag to extend the life of the product.

Traditional underbust bands soak up water and stay moist for many hours. To avoid chafing injuries and to allow women to breathe freely, our technology enabled us to create a very thin underbust band with enough stretch to sit firmly but also allow you to breath freely.

In our research, sports physiologists, scientists and engineers identified the defining feature of stability: upper breast support. We even discovered that some women have bought large rubberbands to tie across their upper chests to support themselves during sports. But rather than creating a band that squeezes your breast down, we have integrated a support zone that - when pulled over your breasts - holds down your breasts like hands. This differentiating feature is a key and secret to stabilization.

We are only starting to understand that there is a direct correlation between breast support and musculoskeltal health. In working with Sports Bra Scientiests, we have come to realize that women may not be fully aware of how they are compensating for the impact of breast movement - and that so much of this is absorbed by the knee joints. Swijin is passionate about innovation and is currently working with scientific partners to discover more about this connection.

Studies show that women who compete in sports bras that offer high support can improve their performance between 7 - 15%. This may not sound significant at first glance, but it also applies to training times. We must also consider that women are improving their training and competition.

Although deliberatly designed for swimmers in mind (and to avoid a parachute effect while swimming) we found that it's crucial to the sports bra on land as well: it allows for upper breast stability (Schnuggi), the pocket (Freeli), and sun protection of the chest area which often gets sunburned during outdoor sports. Women have mentioned that they like feeling "tucked in" or that their breasts don't bounce out of the bra. It allows you to wear the bra in public more confidently as you are not explosing cleavage and the bra now looks like a crop-top. Teenaged girls feel more comfortable during sports because they don't have to wear a T-shirt of their bra and feel more confident.
